A recent study showed that the method of combating the coronavirus pandemic caused discord between many families and friends in Germany, some of which continue to persist to this day. According to a survey conducted by the "Intra•test dimap" Institute on behalf of the German network ARD, which involved 1323 people, 46% of Germans experienced acute conflicts with family due to the coronavirus.
These discordances compelled 17% of participants to temporarily cease communication with relatives or friends, while for 8% this interruption of ties continues to this day. Among people with a high level of education, 20% temporarily broke contact, while 10% cut off communication completely.
The survey indicated that the main supporting issue was vaccination against coronavirus (52%), and women reacted more sharply to conflicts related to either the rules for combating the coronavirus.
