Angela Merkel Signs Her Book in Hamburg

A festive evening dedicated to the signing of the book "Freedom" by the former Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel took place at the Hamburg bookstore "Felix Jungst." The event attracted a large number of visitors. About 200 people gathered after lunch at the historical bookstore "Felix Jungst" to receive autographs from Merkel on their books.

A 72-year-old woman from Hanover, who brought two copies of Merkel's memoirs, stated that the former chancellor limited herself to just signing her name without any additional words, politely apologizing for not having the time to write personal wishes.

Arriving at the bookstore in a dark-blue coat and emerging from a black limousine, Merkel passed by awaiting journalists, not offering any comments, and representatives of the media were not permitted to enter the store.

One of the customers, a 60-year-old man, who was waiting with two books, highly praised the former chancellor: "Ms. Merkel was good in mitigating conflicts and contributing to social character."

The man noted that he is a member of the Green Party and that he is handing one of the copies to his father. He explained that his father is not a follower of Merkel but enjoys reading autobiographies.
