Referee in Leverkusen vs. Bayern admits mistake in Díaz's red card

The match between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich, held yesterday as part of the 26th round of the German Bundesliga, was full of controversial moments. One of them was the second yellow card shown by referee Christian Dingert to Colombian striker Luis Díaz, resulting in a red card. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Dingert decided to send off Luis Díaz, Bayern Munich's striker, believing he had deliberately simulated a fall in the second half. Dingert said in an interview with 'Sky Sports Germany': 'When that moment happened, what was in my mind was that he had intentionally gone down, that's what I thought, I didn't notice the contact with his foot at that speed.' He added: 'Now, after seeing those clips, I say it's not a penalty, it's very clear, but the second yellow card was very harsh. And now, after seeing the clips, I would not make that decision again.'
