An embarrassing situation occurred in a German second division match when the referee went to review an incident on the pitch-side screen and found it completely «off». It turned out that a fan from «Münster's» ultras group had unplugged the screen to prevent the referee from awarding a penalty to Hertha Berlin. Referee Felix Brych was initially confused but then requested a review from the VAR. The amusing part was that the VAR team announced via the stadium speakers: «Player number 24 of Münster struck the chin of a Hertha Berlin player in the penalty area». The Münster ultras were crestfallen as their plan backfired. Hertha Berlin won the match and climbed to sixth place, 10 points behind leaders Schalke.
