German deputies approved the secondary unsatisfactory investment plan proposed by future Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who anticipates the country's rearmament.

Merz's project received approval from the majority of deputies from the Christian-Democratic Union (CDU) and the Christian-Social Union (CSU) during a session of the Bundestag. He proposes large investments in the military sector, defense industry, and also in scientific research and technology development.

Highlighting the importance of the project, Merz emphasized: "We must be ready for the challenges of the future, including cyber warfare, terrorism, and other forms of security threats." At the same time, he noted that such investments would not lead to an increase in the military budget and a departure from Germany's neutrality policy.
