The largest German airline Lufthansa announced today, in the media, plans to start testing a digital health passport on a number of international flights. As part of this pilot project, passengers will be able to upload their medical documents in the VeriFLY application and receive information on necessary tests and requirements for entering the destination country. The experience of presenting digital health documents will allow Lufthansa to streamline the border check procedures and facilitate travel under pandemic conditions. The company’s CEO, Carsten Spohr, emphasized that passenger safety and health remain a priority for the airline. "We hope that this project turns out to be successful, and in the future, digital health passports will be widely available for all travelers," added CEO Spohr.
