Demand for doner kebab in Germany continues to rise despite increasing prices for this fast food, according to a recent study by the market research department at YouGov Institute. Last year, the average price for a doner kebab across Germany was 6.70 euros, a 47% increase compared to 2021 when the price was 4.85 euros. Nevertheless, the number of orders increased by 15% during the same period, a growth that outperforms the average for kebab. Between 2021 and 2025, the overall ready meals market grew by only 8%. The study included orders for ready-to-eat meals, including in restaurants, fast-food outlets, canteens, and commercial food service establishments, either in-person or digitally, such as orders via delivery apps. A 2025 survey by YouGov Institute revealed that about a third of people in Germany (35%) consume kebab at least once a month, including options with meat and meat-free alternatives.
