German Development Minister calls for German companies to participate in Ukraine's reconstruction

German Development Minister Svenja Schulze, during a visit to Kyiv, stated that rebuilding Ukraine is impossible without a strong economy and called on German companies to participate. Germany has provided Ukraine with €2 billion in aid since the war began.

The visit's agenda included signing several agreements to boost development cooperation between Germany and Ukraine, as well as discussing reforms, including good governance and anti-corruption. Germany's Ministry of Development has provided aid worth two billion euros since the beginning of Russia's war on Ukraine. Yesterday, German Development Minister Svenja Schulze of the Social Democratic Party called for increased participation of German companies in Ukraine's reconstruction. The minister stated: "Rebuilding Ukraine is impossible without a strong economy, which is why we continue to support the resilience of Ukrainian companies, but reconstruction also offers opportunities for the German economy."
