During the flight from Manchester to Munich, an airplane belonging to Lufthansa was forced to make an unscheduled landing in London due to technical problems with the engine. A Lufthansa representative from Frankfurt reported that flight LH507 was diverted to Heathrow Airport due to "a problem with the engine not far from the English coast." The aircraft successfully landed and remains in London for technical inspection. All 107 passengers were transferred to other flights.

"Lufthansa apologizes for the inconvenience caused to all passengers of this flight," the company's representative commented. They added that passenger safety is a top priority for Lufthansa.
