Bayern Munich defeated Sporting Lisbon 3-1 at the Allianz Arena in the sixth round of the UEFA Champions League. With this result, the German team secured second place in the standings with 15 points, the same as the leader, Arsenal. All three goals for the team managed by head coach Vincent Kompany were scored by the Germans Serge Gnabry, Lennart Key, and Jonathan Tah.

During the first half, Bayern deployed a solid offensive strategy that generated several clear goal-scoring opportunities. However, despite their efforts, the Bundesliga side was ineffective in finishing these chances, and the first half ended in a frustrating 0-0 draw. In the second half, Sporting surprised Bayern. In the 9th minute, midfielder Joshua Kimmich attempted to clear a clear chance but sent the ball into his own net. Nevertheless, Bayern rallied, and Gnabry, Key, and Tah scored three goals to reverse the game's momentum in favor of the German team.
