According to the given information, presented by the official authorities, the suspect in the incident in Munich is a 24-year-old citizen of Afghanistan. He crashed into a crowd with a car during a migration rally, after which the police detained him. The suspect is believed to have deliberately driven into participants of the rally with his car, at the time as witnesses expressed the belief that this attack had "extremist motives."

Judicial authorities and police announced yesterday that even more people identified themselves as victims of the attack that took place on Thursday. Police reported that 36 people were injured as a result of the attack, some of whom remain in critical condition.

The number of victims from the incident involving the driver running over participants of the migration rally in Munich last Thursday increased to at least 39 people.
