Employees of Munich Airport have announced a two-day strike starting on Thursday. This airport is the second largest in Germany.
Representatives of the union representing the service personnel and airport security stated that their actions are related to demands for higher wages and improved working conditions. They also criticize the employer for refusing to start negotiations on this issue.
Regarding the upcoming strike, the parties have long and painstakingly negotiated, but they have not been able to reach a compromise. Flights will likely be canceled or delayed due to a lack of personnel on the ground and in security.
"We are forced to take such radical measures as our patience has worn thin," said the union representative.
