A new survey by the University of Freiburg reveals that residents of Hamburg are the most satisfied with their living conditions in Germany, topping the 'Happiness Atlas' index with a score of 7.33 out of 10.

The results of the new investigation show that the leaders of Hamburg have taken a leading position in the federal ranking of medium-sized federal states. In particular, the Free University of Hamburg was the first in the index under the name 'Atlas of the States'. The responses of Hamburg rated the quality of life at 7.33 out of 10, which is a slight decrease compared to the comparison with the indicators of 2024.

In the investigation, it was noted that the leaders of Hamburg use sufficient material resources, and the level of their satisfaction with public services is comparable to the standards of other standard states. Analysis of this kind also revealed a high level of public services in the country.

In second and third place were Bavaria and Rhineland-Palatinate with results of 7.21 balls. The Top-5 Severny Reyin-Westphalia (7.19) and Schleswig-Holstein (7.12) are also noted. The lowest indicators were recorded in Bremen (6.89), Berlin (6.83) and Zapatfen (6.78). The last place was occupied by Mecklenburg-Pomeranian Pomerania, where the level of life satisfaction was only 6.06 balls.

According to analysts, key factors for the success of Hamburg were stable infrastructure, normal distribution of wealth and high availability of social programs. Their output is supported: smaller changes in the economic or social sphere could significantly affect the overall state of the country.
