Germany's Interior Ministry in Berlin announced today the deportation of one of the convicted criminals to the Syrian capital Damascus. This is the first such case in 15 years. However, the then government, belonging to the center-left, warned that the timing is still too early to determine whether the situation in Syria is safe enough to allow for this.
