Berlin, Reuters - German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who previously served as foreign minister, stated that global democracy is currently under attack as never before. In his unusually sharp remarks, which seemed to point to measures such as ousting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, he urged the world not to allow the global system to deteriorate and turn into a 'den of thieves' where the unscrupulous take whatever they want.
