On Monday, Berlin stated that it categorically rejects the criticism expressed by the U.S. Secretary regarding the decision on the pipeline.
In response to the statements of the U.S. Secretary on the gas pipeline "Northern Stream - 2", a representative of the German government emphasized that the country itself makes decisions regarding its energy policy. "Here we do not agree," the representative noted.
"We do not consider these statements to be apt," the representative of the government added, stating that Germany must also follow its national interest when making decisions.
