In Germany, a doctor is suspected of murdering 15 patients over three years of his work. According to the current investigation, police suspect that this number may be even higher. The name of the accused is not released for legal reasons, but it is known that he caused fires in an attempt to erase the traces of the crimes.
According to the version of the allegations, the suspected murderer killed four patients aged between 72 and 94 years old in their homes in June and July of last year. The investigation also reveals that possible victims include a young patient aged 25 years. According to recent data, these were the first four crimes attributed to him.
At the present time, 75 other deaths are being investigated, and there are plans for the exhumation of another five bodies to establish the cause of death. Investigators are also studying 395 other cases related to this doctor. A prosecutor representative reported that the accused provided patients with lethal drugs without their consent and did not inform them about it, which led to a breathing failure within a matter of minutes and to death.
The accused was arrested last year on suspicion of murdering four people, but the number of victims increased after the discovery and expertise of several bodies. He had already been charged with 15 murders, and his alleged attempts to cover up the traces attracted police attention, which began to check the theory of artificial fires. The proposed victims of the murders were committed between September 2021 and July 2024, when the accused, a palliative care doctor aged 40, worked in the city of Germany.
