The German professional union, representing employees of major airports in the country, has called for a strike on Monday, which will lead to a complete suspension of flights at Berlin airport. This occurs against the backdrop of tense negotiations regarding the salary of employees in this industry.
In its statement, the union emphasized: "We cannot simply accept the current conditions and demand fair wages for our employees. We are ready for dialogue, but also ready to take decisive measures to protect their interests."
Union representatives expressed hope that the parties would be able to find a compromise solution before the start of the strike, in order to avoid significant violations in the operation of the airport. Moreover, representatives of the unions called on the airport management to engage in constructive dialogue to resolve arising problems.
