
Emirates has been eyeing Berlin as a potential addition to its global route network for over two decades, with plans to expand its flight services from Germany. ITB Berlin showcases the airline's most significant presence at a trade fair outside its home market. During the event, Emirates introduced its Airbus A350 cabin features in Germany for the first time.
The notable dignitaries like Berlin's Governing Mayor Kai Wegner, Federal Government's Coordinator for the Maritime Industry and Tourism Dieter Janecek, UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, World Travel and Tourism Council's President and CEO Julia Simpson, President of the German Travel Association Norbert Fiebig, and Messe Berlin's CEO Dr. Mario Tobias were taken on a tour of Emirates' stand. The VIP delegation was warmly received by Emirates' President Sir Tim Clark, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim, and Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales and Country Management Nabil Sultan.
During the event, Emirates not only showcased the Airbus A350 cabin but also featured other premium products such as the renowned Emirates' Gamechanger First Class Suite. The airline has been operating in Germany since 1987 and remains dedicated to boosting tourism and local economy in the region. Their stand at ITB Berlin spans two stories and covers a total area of 429 sqm in hall 2.2 (stand number 101).
