The German Football Federation announced yesterday that the national team will face Ghana in March instead of the Ivory Coast. This change is part of the team's preparation for the World Cup. The reason for the switch is that Germany, a four-time world champion, is set to play the Ivory Coast in the World Cup group stage in North America during June and July. The teams do not want to reveal their strategies in a direct encounter. Germany will play against Ghana, coached by Otto Addo, former star of Borussia Dortmund, on March 30. Germany's head coach, Julian Nagelsmann, said: "We are looking forward to facing Otto Addo, because Ghana's strength in counter-attacks will be a good indicator of what the match against the Ivory Coast will be like at the World Cup". In their World Cup group, Germany will also face Curaçao and Ecuador.
