On Thursday, the German defense minister Boris Pistorius announced. According to him, there have been cases of "excessive radicalism and resistance" in the helicopter unit of the Bundeswehr.
"These cases relate to the propaganda of Salafism and Islamic extremism in the helicopter corps of the Bundeswehr," Pistorius noted. "The safety of our army personnel is a top priority for me," he added. "This is one of the most important tools to ensure its ability to fulfill its tasks," the minister emphasized.
"In the Bundeswehr, we will not tolerate any form of extremism, regardless of its origin," stated the head of the German military department. "We will continue to investigate and eradicate such phenomena with zero tolerance," Pistorius underscored.
