German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that it is necessary to begin the political process in Lebanon. He called for elections to be held as soon as possible and drew attention to the complex economic and social conditions in the country.
"It is important for Lebanon to start the political process, elections should be held as soon as possible," Scholz noted at a press conference following the conclusion of the EU summit. He also pointed out that the situation in Lebanon remains complicated due to instability, poverty, and the influx of refugees.
Germany is one of Lebanon's key partners and has promised to provide support in addressing its economic problems. "We need to strengthen our partnership with Lebanon and support the country in overcoming its complex challenges," Scholz emphasized.
