German Court Suspends Far-Right Party Classification

On Thursday, a German court announced that the internal intelligence agency will temporarily suspend the classification of the party "Alternative for Germany" as "extremist right-wing grouping."

The court established that the agency did not provide sufficient evidence for this classification; however, it left open the possibility for further examination of the case.

"We are pleased that the court came to the conclusion on the necessity of reviewing the classification," noted a representative of the party.

"Alternative for Germany" emphasized that it will continue to fight against the removal of the status of an extremist organization.
