The analysis showed that the number of asylum requests in the countries of the European Union among Syrian refugees has reached its minimum level in the last decade in February.

At the same time, it should be noted that the situation in Syria remains complicated, and many Syrians continue to stay in the country or seek asylum in other regions, not falling under EU statistics.

According to representatives of organizations dealing with refugee issues, the decrease in the number of applications for asylum may be related both to improved conditions in certain regions of Syria, as well as to stricter migration policies in some European countries.

"We see that the trend of declining requests for asylum from Syrians has been maintained for several months now. This may be linked both to relative improvements in the situation in certain areas of Syria, as well as to a stricter migration policy in a number of EU countries," noted one of the experts.

Thus, the number of Syrians applying for asylum in the European Union continues to decrease; however, the situation in the country remains complicated, and many people are forced to seek protection abroad.
