Former Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel confirmed on Thursday the assertion that she suppressed a report that had come to the release of data leakage.
According to media reports, it was confirmed that Merkel might have concealed a report from intelligence that had confirmed the accidental leak of personal information. However, the politician herself stated: "This does not correspond to reality. I do not have information about this report."
In her statement, she emphasized that she was fully aware of the ongoing processes and always acted in accordance with the law, paying great attention to issues of information security.
