Friedrich Merz, leader of the conservative party in Germany, expressed his openness to a possible coalition with the social democrats, but emphasized that his party has other options as well. In an interview, he stated: "I have a representation of what kind of coalition we can imagine, and it doesn't necessarily have to be 'Kenya'." Instead of this, he noted that his party can allow itself to consider other options. After his party showed good results in the elections, Merz became a figure that needs to be considered in the process of forming a coalition in the new Parliament. Although the social democrats have not yet demonstrated a clear interest in a coalition with the conservatives, such an option is not excluded. He also emphasized that he is ready for dialogue with all parliamentary parties and, if necessary, will conduct negotiations to achieve a constructive solution. Merz does not rule out the possibility of creating a coalition with other parties, which makes him one of the key players in negotiations about the future government of Germany.
