German deputies voted in the majority against the proposed bill, suggested by conservative-opposition representatives, which aims to limit immigration.
The proposed law sparked intense debates in parliament, and as a result, it was rejected. According to one of the representatives of the deputies, holding left positions, "This bill undermines the basic values of our society."
However, conservatives assert that the law is necessary to ensure order in the country and to support law-abiding citizens. Proponents of the law believe that immigration should be strictly controlled and regulated by law.
Despite the fact that the law was not adopted, discussions on this topic continue, and possibly, there will be new attempts to adopt similar regulatory immigration initiatives.
