Frankfurt — AFP. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Friday ruled out that the war being waged by the United States and Israel against Iran would lead to a 'regime change' in Tehran. 'Most of the time, such an affair ended badly' in past conflicts, citing the war in Afghanistan as an example. He said during a seminar organized by the 'FAZ' newspaper in Frankfurt: 'Is a regime change really the goal?', adding, 'If that is the goal, I don't think you will achieve it.'
