- FC Union Berlin has announced that Marie-Louise Eta will be the interim head coach of the men's team, replacing Steffen Baumgartst. Eta will become the first woman in history to lead a team in the Bundesliga. She will coach the Berlin club, to whose youth team she was previously attached, at least until the end of the season. Her task will be to fight to maintain the club's position in the first division after a 3-1 defeat to Heidenheim last Saturday. After the remaining five matches, the 34-year-old coach will become the head coach of the women's team, but for now, she will take on her new role immediately. "I am pleased that the club has entrusted me with this demanding task," Eta stated. She emphasized that one of Union's strengths is its unity and expressed her confidence that the team will secure the necessary points.
