Biologist Confirms Authenticity of Hitler's Blood Sample

Famous forensic biologist Dr. Mark Benecke believes that the blood sample used in a British documentary film to analyze Adolf Hitler's DNA is authentic. The sample, used in the documentary 'Hitler's DNA: The Dictator's Plot', which aired on Channel 4 yesterday, comes from the sofa on which it is believed Hitler shot himself in the Führer's bunker in Berlin. Benecke also stated that he took a sample from another location—the sofa's armrest—after gaining access to that part of the sofa in Moscow's state archives. In the documentary, a blood-stained cloth piece, later found in an American museum, was used to determine the DNA sequence. It is reported that an American soldier managed to obtain it from the Berlin bunker, where Hitler committed suicide on April 30, 1945.
