Public transport resumes in Germany after strike

Buses, subways, and trams have returned to operation in most areas of Germany following a warning strike in the local transport sector. Local transport movement in the capital Berlin resumed early yesterday morning. Subway, tram, and bus services gradually returned to work according to plan, as announced by the operating company 'Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe'. The strike began in most parts of Germany in the early hours of last Friday and ended Saturday evening. The strike was called by the 'Verdi' union representing service sector workers. As a result, the company's lines have resumed work without strike-related restrictions.
